Beautiful Butterflies and other Incredible Insects!

Children will get a bugs-eye view of the world of insects and their importance through hands-on, interactive activities, crafts, songs, games, and imaginative play. Find out what the world looks like from an ant’s perspective, and then observe amazing ants at work. Learn about the life cycle of the butterfly as you watch each stage of its life right at Discover! Discover the amazing, busy world of bees and fine-tune your listening and observation skills as you explore the noisy world of crickets and the eating habits of the ladybug. Explore what makes the lightning bug light up!

On Friday, August 11 (weather permitting) we will meet at Indian Springs Metro Park to explore the Nature Center and nature trails and have some fun at the Spray ‘N’ Play. Children will need to be transported to and from the park on that day. Park pass is required (not included in camp fee). All other sessions during the week will take place at Discover Preschool.

Discover!.. . Science Fun! Wonderful Wacky Water and Awesome Air!

Children will explore and discover the wonderful world of water and awesome air through hands-on, interactive activities, science experiments and observation, crafts, songs, stories, and imaginative play. Discover the power of air through fun experiments, and observation, then test it when you make and fly your very own kite! Your child will have the opportunity to be actively involved on our “wet and wild” day and will want to wear a swimsuit under his/her clothes for sprinkler fun, bubble activities and science discovery at the preschool.

On Friday, June 9 (weather permitting), we will meet at Kensington Metropark where the children will enjoy fun outdoor activities, as well as time in “Splash ‘N’ Blast” getting soaked with their friends. Children will need to be transported to and from Kensington Metropark that day. Park pass is required (not included in camp fee). All other sessions during the week will take place at Discover Preschool.
