Terrific Twos

Halloween funThe parent-tot class

This class is for children who are 2 years old by September 1, accompanied by a parent or caregiver. This program is designed to acquaint the child with a group “preschool” environment with the love and support of a parent.

Discovering with Dad Parents will interact with their child in songs, finger plays, stories, and art while exploring, creating, pretending, moving, singing, dancing, learning, and making new friends. Puppets are used to enhance the curriculum, foster imagination and create interest. This is a special and enriching experience for child and parent.

Thrilling Threes

The program for 3-year-olds
Tuesday and Thursday
AM Class: 9:00 AM-12:00

Ready, set, go!The program for three-year-olds introduces the child to the social tools necessary to participate in a group setting. Concepts such as colors, shapes, numbers, comparisons, sequencing, patterning, fine and gross motor skills and language development are incorporated into each theme.

Dinosaurs are cool! Each step of the curriculum is designed to build upon basic skills and concepts as your child progresses throughout the year. Your child will be actively involved in the learning process through exploration, manipulation and discovery of a variety of hands-on materials and activities. Puppets are used to enhance the curriculum and teach various concepts in a fun, interactive manner. Focus in this program is to provide activities that will encourage curiosity, creativity and imagination and foster a positive first school experience and love of learning.

Creating a masterpiece The curriculum for fours builds upon the basic skills, encouraging growth and development of fine motor skills (handwriting skills, cutting, drawing, puzzles, building, manipulating small objects) and gross motor skills (understanding how the body moves in space, moving to music, using large muscles in activities such as hopping, skipping, jumping, balancing), cognitive skills (colors, shapes, numbers, letters, phonics), language skills (rhyming, sequencing, finger plays, songs), and social emotional skills (getting along with others, taking turns, developing confidence).

Pajama day at preschool These skills are incorporated into the themes to encourage individual and group growth through hands-on activities. Puppets are used to enhance the curriculum and teach various concepts in a fun, interactive manner. The extended day options include literacy, dramatic play and science activities, and allow more time for skill development throughout the curriculum. Children bring their own lunch to school when choosing the extended day options. The skills necessary for a smooth transition to kindergarten are the focus of this hands-on, interactive class.
